The Sports Mill, New Hampshire’s Premier Indoor Turf Athletic Facility, announces former UMass Lowell Standout Steve Xirinachs as a Pitching Instructor
Steve spent four seasons pitching for Division One University of Massachusetts - Lowell (UML). During his tenure at UML, Steve pitched 146 innings, while facing 686 batters and striking out 103 opponents. X only allowed 1 homerun per 115 batters!
Over Steve’s four-year collegiate baseball experience, he has had the opportunity to learn from some amazing pitching coaches, such as Dom Johnson who is well known for working closely with Stephen Strasburg of the Washington Nationals. Steve’s last pitching coach, Sean McGrath from UML taught him to trust in his abilities. Steve has combined all three coaching styles and has applied them to his own technique which greatly assists him with his current coaching models.
A native of San Diego, California, Steve was a four-year varsity player at Del Norte High School where he graduated in 2013 and served as Captain of the team. Steve also played for the Baltimore Orioles Scout Team in 2012.
